Gilt bronze, ¾” height with central motif of addorsed lituus’ on radial sun rays. Worn by Augurs, who were seer’s or priests of the Roman religion who interpreted the will of the Gods through the flight of birds. The lituus was a scroll terminal wand with which the Augur would define an area in the sky. Bird flights in the defined area was then the substance for interpretation of the will of the Gods. Professionally refurbished with the gold surface restored. Item ships one business day after payment.
