**First Time At Auction**
East Asia, China, Qing Dynasty, ca. 1644 to 1912 CE. Two phallic amulets carved from a translucent rock crystal and a brown-and-white stone, respectively. Both pendants exhibit vivid details with the penis and testicles clearly defined, and each has a laterally-perforated suspension loop above the scrotum. The male phallus itself was symbolic of virility and fertility in Eastern Asia, and amulets in such forms have been a common sight for thousands of years in ancient China. Size of largest (rock crystal): 2.625" L (6.7 cm).
