LATE MING DYNASTY, 17th Century
(restored and with damage) enthroned on a rocky base seated in dhyanasana with hands clasped together resting on her lap in the dhyanamudra, dressed in voluminous white robes opened at the chest, her serene face with downcast eyes framed by hair swept up into a chignon and covered with a veil falling to her shoulders, flanked by two standing attendants, the smooth white biscuit applied with a transparent glaze

Condition

Overall in fair to good condition. There is restoration to the figure and some losses including the vase and the bird, firing flaws, glaze cracks and other imperfections. There are a few firing cracks, (one vertical on the side, horizontal on the back of the head). There are a few nibbles and minute chips to the bottom edge and to the bird and fingers. There is some yellow discoloration to the neck. There are some expected firing flaws including gaps and occasional iron spots to the surface glaze.
