    Vincenzo Balocchi (1892-1975) was a Florentine engineer-artist who for years managed the photographic establishment of the Alinari Brothers in Florence. Between 1921 and 1930 he was mainly concerned with photomechanical reproductions and in 1928, founded the Italian photochromic institute specializing in the collotype method of printing.
