A TOLE PEINTE RETICULATED IRON TRAY, ENGLISH, POSSIBLY GEORGE III (1760-1820) PERIOD, a top fragment from a tilt top table, painted with a pastoral landscape occupied by a boy shepherd reclining with a dog on a hill, watching over a meadow of sheep, with a stream, bridge, and farm house in the distance, within a pierced baluster and swag gallery. Height: 22 1/4" Width: 30 3/4"

Condition

Some inpainting throughout, spots of oxidation appear throughout, some surface scratches, wear, and yellowing of paint throughout, four holes appear on platter; now lacking base and handles, but otherwise in very good condition, wear commensurate with age and use.
