A PAIR OF SECOND FRENCH EMPIRE (1852-1870) ORMOLU AND PORCELAIN MOUNTED MAHOGANY, OLIVE, TEAK AND SATINWOOD INLAID MARBLE TOP PETITE LOUIS XVI STYLE SIDE CABINETS, the inset, canted corner, square rouge de rance marble top, above a molded edge mounted with bound reed ormolu trim, above an oval medallion and chevron parquetry inlaid cupboard door centering a Sèvres style, hand painted, blue ground, porcelain plaque, opening to adjustable shelves, over two lower chevron inlaid drawers, flanked by canted stiles mounted with flaming, reed bound torchères, centering a laurel leaf and berry garland festooned oval portrait medallion, in the likeness of Marie-Louise, Empress of France (1791-1847), above fruiting pommegranates issuing acanthus leaves, ending in a tied oak leaf and acorn flourish, all raised on canted, square, tapered legs, ending in sabots.
