A PAIR OF TRANSITIONAL LOUIS XV/XVI STYLE CARVED WALNUT FAUTEUILS EN CABRIOLET MEDALLION, CIRCA 1900, the leafy, flower bloom and scrolling tendril carved crests, over oval medallion upholstered backs, above bowed seats within dramatic bowed arms, ending in outwardly scrolled hand terminals, on swan neck supports, carved with leafy flourishes, raised on cabriole legs, ending in scrolled feet, terminating in French toes, joined by an arched skirt, centering a shell fan within adorsed scrolling leafy details, now covered in modern mauve flower bouquet needlepoint upholstery and matching gimp trim. Very mild soil to upholstery, mostly on arm rest, mild expected surface wear including dents, some losses to the carving, scratches, and some wood paste filled repairs. The arm joints are slightly loosened and have apparent repairs. Overall in good to very good condition, wear commensurate with age and use.
