DESCRIPTION: A woodcut attributed to Hans Springinklee (German, active 1512–22) titled: Maximilian Presented by his Patron Saints to the Almighty. Features a divine scene of Jesus wielding an orb to Maximillian, backed by saints. Mention of this woodcut is seen in the "Catalogue of Early German and Flemish Woodcuts Preserved in the Department of Prints and Drawings in the British Museum, Volume 1". Set in an odd wooden frame, encased in glass. Uncertain as to the authenticity of this lot.
