DESCRIPTION: Collection of seven 19th century silhouettes. Includes: 1) Three piece drawn silhouette set in matching frames; one of a man and two of women. Matted in black with gold wooden frame. 2) One drawn silhouette of a woman with additional drawn on details of hair, bonnet, and clothing in oval wood frame. Frame with tape and pen marks to back. 3) One cut out silhouette of man with black fabric backing. With ornate gold matte and gold painted frame. Losses to frame. 4) Two cut out silhouettes: one of a man and one of a woman, each with black fabric backing. In gold painted wood frames. Dated early-mid 1800s. Tears and taped repairs to back paper. Penned notations of people names and dates to reverse. MEASUREMENTS: Various. Silhouettes range from 3-3/4" x 2-3/4" to 4" x 3". Overall with frames range from 5-1/4" x 4-1/2" to 7-1/8" x 6-1/4". CONDITION: Wear as expected with age including toning to paper. See Description for additional condition information.
