Infinity by Yaacov AgamThis serigaph by Agam depicts a winding trail of shades of grey transfixed in a large black circle. The gradations of grey keep the eye moving around the piece, making this work feel similar to one of his famed agamographs.Limited Edition Serigraph, 103/18031 x 31 in, Signed by Artist
Yaacov Agam (born 1928) is an Israeli artist best known for his experimental work in kinetic art. His works, including his Agamographs, use a technique known as “lenticular printing”, which allows him to show two vastly different images in the same work. In his own words, “My intention was to create a work of art which would transcend the visible, which cannot be perceived except in stages, with the understanding that it is a partial revelation and not the perpetuation of the existing. My aim is to show what can be seen within the limits of possibility which exists in the midst of coming into being.” His son is photographer Ron Agam.
