Inscription to the back of frame indicates this piece was given as a gift in 1989. Deborah Zlotsky is a teacher at the Rhode Island School of Design, and her drawings are in the curated flat files of Pierogi Gallery. Recent projects include solo shows at Robischon Gallery, Kathryn Markel Fine Arts, and the SACI Gallery at Studio Art Center International in Florence, Italy, as well as installation drawings at Providence College, Robischon Gallery, and the University of Connecticut. She has received residency fellowships at Yaddo, MacDowell Colony, the Saltonstall Foundation, VCCA, Ragdale Foundation and the Bemis Center for Contemporary Art, and in 2012 she received a New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship in painting.
