"Little Mary Mixup was Robert Moore Brinkerhoff's first and only comic strip, created in 1917. The comic endured and evolved over the years; by wartime, Little Mary had grown up and even joined the fight against the Nazis. Harry O'Neill's strip began as Young Buffalo Bill in 1928, and ran until 1950.
