This copy with additional blue cloth chemise containing various piece of ephemera, including prospectus booklet, pamphlet for Le Desert De Retz exhibition at San Francisco's Palace of the Legion of Honor, as well as an invitation to a related lecture there, 3 stapled leaves of descriptive text, and a receipt from the press for the purchase of the slipcase and chemise, which were not originally issued with the volume. Finely printed examination of the marvelous garden created by de Monvelle in the village of Retz outside of Paris.
