Biography of Ignatius of Loyola (1491-1556), the Spanish Basque priest and theologian who founded the religious order Society of Jesus (Jesuits) and became its first Superior General. First published in 1586. OCLC/WorldCat lists only four copies of this 1587 edition.

Light wear to covers; a few wormholes to prelims.; signatures NN-PP with worm damage repaired with text restored in mss.; VV2 preceds VV1 but no loss of text, VV8 (a blank) excises; overall very good.
