    This beautiful Russian icon "Saint Panteleimon" was made in 1980's in the village of Sofrino at the official Russian Orthodox church factory which produces most of the Russian icons today. This icon consists of the icon itself inlaid in gold plated metal riza(cover) and then inserted in a very beautiful wooden frame called "oklad" in Russian with a Russian orthodox cross on top which creates a look of a church. The final touch is a beautiful golden angel on a top of oklad. The size of the icon is 7.7" x 4"x 1.25".This icon will make a memorable gift to your friends or family.
