4 Original 1950's Cheesecake Pin up of a Nude Girl with Gloves by Harrison Marks Photographs Pin Up:
A pin-up model (known as a pin-up girl for a female and less commonly male pin-up for a male) is a model whose mass-produced pictures see wide appeal as popular culture. Pin-ups are intended for informal display, i.e. meant to be "pinned-up" on a wall. Pin-up models may be glamour models, fashion models, or actors. These pictures are also sometimes known as cheesecake photos. The term pin-up may refer to drawings, paintings, and other illustrations as well as photographs. The term was first attested to in English in 1941, however, the practice is documented back at least to the 1890s. Photographer:
George Harrison Marks, (1926 –1997) was an English glamour photographer and director of nudist, and later, pornographic films. Marks and Pamela Green founded the Kamera group of magazines. Kamera, begun in 1957, featured Marks' glamour photographs of nude women taken in small studios or Marks' kitchen. In later years Marks supplied photographs to the "men's" magazines Men Only and Lilliput. Marks was also the photographic consultant for the film Peeping Tom, which featured Pamela Green in a cameo role. Medium:
