Beautiful two-volume history finely rebound in full maroon leather. Five compartments on spine with black labels complete with bright gilt titling. Tiny bit of scuffing to very peak of top tips on volume 1. Mild rubbing to parts of lower edges. Almond-size piece torn from edge of page iii in volume 1, otherwise books are tight, complete and sound with just occasional small smudges scattered throughout. Early owner's name (John B. Dunlevy) and inscription in ink with later owner's name (Walter H. Morgan) in pencil with dates on third free endpaper of volume 1; owner's name in pencil on endpaper of volume 2. An impressive appearing set. 609 and 591 pages with indices. 6.25 x 9.25.
