Large framed tapestry fragment, framed in pinewood, the tapestry depicting a castle, foliage, and animals
Approx height 78.75", width 57.25", depth 2".

Condition

Tapestry is pressure mounted between frame and stretcher with no evidence of glue or staples. Approx. 8-10" of margin has been folded and pinned back on the bottom and right edge (more composition on folded areas). Overall with scattered hand stitched repairs as well as small patch repairs. Also overall with scattered holes and seam separation. Linen has been stitched to back to cover 3" seam separation on tower. Overall with fading, commensurate with age. No further signs of loss, damage, or repair.
