**First Time At Auction**

Ancient Near East, Holy Land, Early Bronze Age II, ca. 2700 to 2400 BCE. A buffware terracotta kernos (offering vessel) with three jar-shaped chambers conjoined at the sides with an arching strap handle above. The central area in-between each vessel is open, perhaps suggesting it was placed atop a small pole or altar while holding offerings of wine, water, or other substances. Size: 3" W (7.6 cm).

Provenance: private Schroeder collection, Boca Raton, Florida, USA, acquired before 1970
