A late 19th century Meissen porcelain clock case, after the 18th century original, modelled as a seated putto with flaming torch, the 2.5-inch dial housing (vacant) beneath doves, berry finals and floral swags on rectangular base, underglaze blue crossed swords mark, 12.25, (31cm) high.

Condition

Typical minor petal chips to flower-encrusted swag. Loss to big toe. Small edge loss to leaf terminal at centre of back edge of base. Fitted with a plastic collar to dial for housing a clock movement.
