Nine-piece Imperial German "Charlottenburg Fusiliers" parade flag with staff and accoutrements including: (1) GORGET: of brass construction, with chain, depicting four flags encircling an oval emblem signed "Ver Enem Garde Fusiliere Charlottenburg" above oak and laurel leaves. Flags and emblem are painted silver. Gorget is signed "Gen. V.R. Riller Fahnenfbk, Berlin Elsasser ST 11" in fitted simulated leather box. (3" H x 6.25" W). (1) FLAG CARRIER: in leather and silk construction, having black leather base holder with yellow silk covering and yellow wool on reverse. Elaborately hand embroidered on linen cloth with silk thread in insect and leaf design. Acorn and berries are in bullion thread with yellow silk stitching around design. Bullion thread is hand stitched on linen. Writing is partially legible, and appears to be "Gewid v.d. Fraven a Jungfrav S. Bereins" and "Verein Ehemalig Garde Fusiliere", surrounded by silk stitching. Flag holder has two bands of gilt ribbon. (36.5" H x 6" W). (1) PARADE SASH: in yellow cotton construction having yellow ribbon sewn as front decoration. Hand embroidered silk thread depicts two beetles surrounded by bullion thread with decorative motif signed in bullion thread "Dorsitzender des Vereins ehmalig Garde-Fusiliere Charlottenburg" and "Gewid v.d. Fraven V Jungfravendes Vereins" having bullion design at shoulder with white and yellow rosette and bullion tassels. (40.75" L x 6" W), (1) PARADE SASH in yellow cotton and silk construction having silver bullion thread ribbon at shoulder with metal signed "Suum Cuique" (to teach his own) , depicts eagle and oak leaf wreath with yellow and bullion thread rosette and bullion thread tassels. (41.5"L x 6" W), (1) PARADE SASH: in yellow ribbon construction with hand embroidered three-dimensional beetle stitched in silk thread with bullion thread tassels. (70"L x 5" W), (1) PARADE STOLE: in yellow silk and bullion ribbon construction with tassels. (70" L x 5" W), (1) PARADE RIBBON: in linen construction having yellow silk stitching overlay with gilt ribbon running vertically along sides, hand embroidered with silk thread in natural oak leaf motif with bullion thread acorns. "Dem Verein Eghem Garde-Fusiliere Charlottenburg" and "Geiwidin Von Frau Oberleutuant Kraft" is stitched in bullion thread. One band features hand embroidered crest with eagle and crown having silk accents. The other band features hand embroidered beetle with red silk accents. Both have bullion tassels with bow signed "1906" in bullion and gilt ribbon, and includes a circular metal hook. (45.5" L x 12" W), (1) PARADE FLAG: in linen and silk construction having hand embroidered detail. Each corner features four silk thread and ribbon embroidered wreaths, each uniquely signed and dated. The flag center is adorned with a crowned open-mouth eagle clutching a scepter and sword in its talons above an oak leaf laurel surrounded by embroidery that reads "Verein ebemaliger Garde-Fusiliere Charlottenburg" The eagle bears a scroll signed "Wit Gott fur Konig und Vaterland" REVERSE) in yellow silk with decorative bullion thread border. Top (left) corner features a castle and purple flowers hand stitched in silk thread. Lower (left) corner has bullion embroidery that reads "27 January 1897" surrounded by an oak leaf laurel. A beetle is depicted in the upper (right) corner. The lower (right) corner is signed "12 Mai 1906" in bullion thread, surrounded by an oak leaf laurel. The center of reverse is signed "Dem Vaterland getreu bis in den tod!"(The fatherland faithful unto death) above an embroidered crown in bullion with silk threads and the letter "R" surrounded by a wreath tied with a blue bow signed "1826 30 Marz". Flag has bullion tassels on three sides with one side having brass attachment clasps. (48" H x 55.25" W), (1) STAFF: in black walnut two-part construction having brass screw joint connection at center. Staff is adorned with thirty gilt and gray metal plaques commemorating regiment achievements including dates of "12-5-1906", "27-1-1911" and "1927". Brass eyelets connect flag. Finial is of brass construction featuring an Iron Cross and is dated "1914", and signed with a letter "W" beneath a crown. (132.5" H, Finial is 3.75" H)
