Three Pre-Columbian South American Pottery Vases - Large brown slipped vase with three nubbin feet is 5 3/8" h x 6 1/2" dia; Medium orange slipped with incision designs 5 1/4" h x 4 7/8" dia; Smallest vase has remnants of black painted design; uneven construction makes vase slump to the side 4 3/8" h x 4 7/8" dia. Condition: All vessels have chips along rim, chips on body, some slip and paint loss all consistent with ancient use. This lot is from the Florida Estate of J.J. Schmidt Jr. and was acquired prior to 1970. All age referred to in the description is the opinion of the gallery and based on our research.
