MARGUERITE KIRMSE (English / American 1885-1954) "His First Kill" Drypoint etching. Sheet: 8 3/8 x 9 inches; Frame: 9 1/2 x 10 3/4 inches. Signed and dated lower right: M. Kirmse 1922. Label verso from the Arthur H. Harlow & Co. Rare Etching and engravings 712 Fifth Avenue, New York (label annotated in ink) "His First Kill" Original Drypoint etching my Margerite Kirmse Signed artist's Proof edition limited. CONDITION: In overall good condition. When examined out of the frame the sheet is completely laid down on the backing board. There is some glue residue in the top margin of the sheet from the top mat being glued down. The sheet is clean there are no visible abrasions or areas of missing paper. The plate mark is strong and there is no visible evidence of foxing.
