Kios, also called Cius, was an ancient Greek city in Bithnyia (northwestern Turkey) that served as an important point on the Silk Road and thus became a wealthy, powerful, and often-mentioned-by-Classical-authors place. Aristotle, Strabo, and Apollonius Rhodius all wrote about the city.
