Ancient Near East, northwestern Iran, Luristan, ca. 1000 BCE. A pair of bronze vessels, one a bowl with a flared base and steep walls, and one a round-sided bowl with a very slight lip. Luristan is famous for its lost wax casting of bronze items. These bowls may have been made to hold libations or offerings in the tomb. Size of largest (rounded one): 5.5" W x 2.75" H (14 cm x 7 cm)
