Notes/Literature: Huguette Marcelle Clark (1906-2011) was an heiress and philanthropist, who became well known again late in life as a recluse, living in a hospital for more than 20 years while her mansions remained empty. She was an accomplished artist and musician, having studied under famous portrait painter Tadeusz Styka, and her paintings were exhibited at the Corcoran Gallery, Washington in 1925

Condition

Good, with evidence of removal of a blue piece of paper facing the contents page, endpapers have age spots, be advised that all lots in this sale will exhibit some degree of wear due to age and/or handling
