BOOKS: (2) Vols Vintage Japanese Graphic Novel, Vintage Japanese graphic novel bound into two volumes. Each 6 3/4 x 9 3/4 inches. Total of 1403 pages (numbered in pencil at top). Beautifully bound in decorated cloth with spine labels in Japanese, housed in paper-covered slipcases with spine labels. Text printed in blue and each volume bound between color covers, of what appear to be a Japanese women's magazine. Age unknown, but most likely circa 1960s or 1970s.

Notes/Literature: Huguette Marcelle Clark (1906-2011) was an heiress and philanthropist, who became well known again late in life as a recluse, living in a hospital for more than 20 years while her mansions remained empty. She was an accomplished artist and musician, having studied under famous portrait painter Tadeusz Styka, and her paintings were exhibited at the Corcoran Gallery, Washington in 1925
