EGYPTIAN RED-POLISHED POTTERY JAR, POSS. CIRCA 3500-3000 B.C., H 4 3/4" DIA 3 1/2" POSSIBLY PRE-DYNASTIC PERIOD, NAQADA II-III, 3500-3000 B.C. A BURNISHED RED-WARE JAR WITH OVOID BODY AND A SMALL EVERTED RIM, ACCOMPANIED BY A SMALL WIRE STAND. LABEL TO BOTTOM READING: "EARLY DYNASTIC PERIOD EGYPT".

Condition

Piece also appears to have a possible accession number painted along bottom. With minor chips and losses, the body somewhat abraded and soiled. (MK)
