Pre-Columbian, Costa Rica, ca. 800 to 1000 CE. An adorable bichrome terracotta vessel with three looped feet, each with an abstract amphibian body, supporting the larger superstructure above. The main vessel is comprised of light-orange and red-orange hues, and features fourteen stylized frog bodies around the exterior. A rolled rim, wide mouth, and deep interior cavity complete the features of this wonderful example! Size: 6" W x 5" H (15.2 cm x 12.7 cm).
