Pre-Columbian Cup in the shape of a cocoa bean from Costa Rica, ca. 500 - 1000 A.D. The cup has a handle on one end and tapers to a point on the other end. Decorative loops on tapered section. Wide mouth on a short shoulder. Remains of red paint on brown ground. This cup was most likely used to drink chocolate. Dimensions: 5-1/2†L Weight: 6.7 oz. Provenance: Ex. E. Immerman collection
