carved alabaster
after the first quarter 19th century marble discovered in the artist's studio after his death and now conserved at the National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C., the classically draped figure supporting herself delicately on one foot, a floral wreath draped over one arm.

Condition

In overall good estate condition. Scattered areas of abrading, discoloration/accretions, especially in more deeply carved areas. Scattered small scratches including proper left cheek, back of neck, tree stump. Small nicks/losses to edge of self-base. Some staining to self-base.
