Very well forged iron tsuba of oval form decorated with a grass hopper (shakudo body with golden antennas and limbs) climbing an aubergine inlaid in gold in high relief. Crescent moon is inlaid in shibuichi; grasses on both sides inlaid in brass, gold and shakudo. Nakago-ana with copper fittings (sekigane), kogai hitsu-ana plugged with shakudo.
