circa 1965, rosewood, acrylic, and lucite, with two pairs of cabinet doors on lucite legs
Except for the base, this cabinet appears to be identical to one sold at Wright, Chicago, IL, on April 25, 2013, lot 163
h. 31-1/2 w. 76 d. 22-1/4 in.
Provenance: Purchased by the owner at Kagan's NYC gallery in the 1960s
THIS CONDITION REPORT HAS BEEN UPDATED
lighting works but the end of the cable is somewhat frayed and should be rebound; all doors open and close completely, left most door makes some contact at top, second door interior hook-latch is present but unattached, third door spring-latch does not function but door closes, fourth door functions as designed, some smudges in top that will probably clean.
n.b. a previous condition report listed two doors as not fitting in their openings, however this piece was discovered in a house that had not been lived in for some years, had no heat and burst pipes, since being moved to a more consistent climate the piece appears to have returned to a more amenable state.
