A pair of Egyptian cartonnage fragments from a sarcophagus, Late Period, c. 664 – 30 BC, forming part of the backside with extremely well-preserved white and blue pigment bordered in vibrant red and yellow. Both pieces are linen with multiple layers of linen panels, which support the plaster and paint on the outside. 31 in x 11 in and 32 in x 9 ½ in. Ex BC Antiques, Los Angeles, CA.
