Nazca Pottery Face Kero

Pre-Columbian, southern Peru, Ca 200 CE. One of the more desirable of Nazca pottery forms, Pot has an exaggerated bulbous base and slightly flared rim with nose in high relief, facial features painted in tan, brown and red pigments, a textile pattern decorates the neck with a headband just below rim. Measures 5.5 by 4.5 inches.

in good condition with some chipping on the rim and some loss to the glaze most pronounced around the neck at the back
