An undated archaistic ceramic redware oil lamp in 1st-2nd century AD style, with pointed nozzle, pekta shaped volutes to the side; flat rim with ovolo pattern, small ring handle to the back; shallow dish decorated with two fighting gladiators, oil filling hole between. 88 grams, 12cm (4 3/4"). Property of a North London gentleman; previously in a UK collection formed in the 1980s. [No Reserve]
