A Stuart Surridge & Co Ltd patent reinforced-toe cricket bat numbered 19386/28, with paper label and rubber-covered grip; the blade bearing signatures of the 1965 South Africa touring cricket team and the Essex cricket team (match played 3rd July 1965 at Colchester); the back bearing signatures of the Warwickshire cricket team (match played 21st August 1965 at Edgbaston) and the Yorkshire cricket team (match played 30th June 1965 at Sheffield); offered with printout of the 1965 tour itinerary and the three match reports listing results and those taking part. 1.1 kg, 85cm (33 1/2"). This bat bears the signatures of many leading players of the period including the Pollack brothers and Eddie Barlow of South Africa, with such English players as Geoffrey Boycott, Ray Illingworth, Brian Close, F. Trueman and many others.
