Wonderful original semi-glossy 8 x 10 silver gelatin photo of Private Presley sporting an Army winter cap and fatigues as he plays guitar to the delight of his barracks buddies. Left border annotated "Elvis" in an unknown hand, and the reverse of photo bearing ink notations crediting the photographer as Loomis Dean of Life Magazine; Dean captured this exclusive concert on November 28, 1958, while Presley was stationed at Grafenwoehr, Bavaria, Germany, during seven weeks of maneuvers with his tank battalion. In fine condition, with a small crease and missing emulsion to the upper left corner tip. Originates from the Time-Life Photo Library.
