Lot 0366
This lot contains a pair of Apache Native American Indian, high top tanned leather hide moccasins. The moccasins show typical Apache two piece construction, and hard-sole bottom. The moccasins use corn yellow, semi-transparent red, light green, blood red, and orange trade seed beads to adorn the edges of the legs, and to depict geometric pattern on the face of the foot, and the front of the shin. The Apache utilized hard, up-turned soles to prevent sharp rocks from running into the seams, and injuring the foot. The moccasins show good condition. Each moccasin measures approximately 9 1/2" from heel to toe, 3 1/2" wide at the ball of the foot, and 13 1/4" tall.
