Tested 18K brooch, and 14K pendant loops. In a fitted red velvet box inscribed for Morel & Cie London. 19.6 grams. 3.5"L, Circa - Second half of the 19th C. NOTE: Jean-Valentin Morel (French, 1794-1860) was a noted gold and silversmith who specialized in high quality inlay and 16th century style designs. Morel 's business was located in Paris until right before his death in 1860 when he relocated to London. His granddaughter married Joseph Chaumet, who inherited the business in 1885. PROVENANCE: From the Estate of Mr. Kenneth W. Davis, Fort Worth, Texas.
