Lot 0106
An earlier Parmalee & Bonnell brass top 6" frame with a twist-off bell. It has the P&M May 2, 1871 patent date stamped on the lid. The glass fount has the correct curved top for a P&B. The cage has a skirted base. The bell once had a CRR stamping that somebody pounded out. You can make out the CRR in the bell if you look carefully.

The frame is not marked for the Connecticut River Railroad but the 6" barrel globe in flashed red has CRRR cut in the style done by the New England Glass Company. Note the thick verticals and thin horizontal lines in the initials. The fancy end on the "C" is also a tell that it is NEGCo. The red flashing has flaked a little on the base. A nice older frame with a very early globe.
