**First Time At Auction**
Pre-Columbian, Costa Rica, ca. 1100 to 1500 CE. A petite zoomorphic pottery bowl with a shallow dish, three conical legs, and an amusing primate head which projects outwards from one side. Each leg has an accompanying handle, two of which are the monkey's arms, and a sinuous tail doubles as the third handle. Highly-burnished and colored in red-orange slip, this is an adorable example from ancient Costa Rica! Size: 3" H (7.6 cm).
