Native American, late pre-Contact period or later, ca. 1500 to 1800 CE. A nice example of a greyware pipe with a beaver perched along its length and a large, gently flared chamber. The beaver has nice detail of its body, especially its tail, which lays down along the stem to meet the base of the chamber. Size: 6.6" W x 2.25" H (16.8 cm x 5.7 cm)
