Description
A nice Egyptian faience amulet of Hathor's crown of cow horns and a solar disk, Late Period, c. 664 - 332 BC, in an exceptional state of preservation with pale green color and light deposits. 18 x 25 mm. A fine example of a scarce amulet to find intact, as often the horns have broken off over time. Cf. Carol Andrews, Amulets of Ancient Egypt, type 90a. Ex Pennsylvania private collection beginning in 1960; thence by descent.
