bone hairpipes strung using hide thongs are separated by leather spacers; further embellished with black faceted beads along the top and hide fringes strung with medium blue, royal blue, and red beads line the bottom edge; length 45 in. x width 14.25 in.

Provenance: Gustav (Gus) Sigel (1837-1923), a railroad worker in Montana, assembled the collection between 1880-1900. He moved from Montana to New York. The collection has been passed down through the family.

Condition

Few pieces of missing hair pipes (some still with piece in separate bag).
