Greece, Western Empire, ca. 3rd century BCE. A sizeable red terracotta pythos of voluminous piriform body, with a small nipple at the base, a slender cylindrical neck, flared rounded rim, and a strap handle joining rim to shoulder. A nice example of an ancient utilitarian vessel that presents an attractive form. Size: 4.125" W x 6.375" H (10.5 cm x 16.2 cm)
