**First Time At Auction**
Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Colima, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. Three wonderful hand-built zoomorphic terracotta whistles. Two whistles take avian forms, one with donut-shaped eyes and a broad tail with a mouthpiece, and the other with a conical beak and a perforated back. Last is a small puppy whistle, its stylized hands grasping its snout, with a tubular bottom section which tapers to a petite mouthpiece. All three whistles produce a sound when blown into, making this a lovely and functional collection! Size of largest (puppy): 2.75" H (7 cm).
