Northern Europe, Viking / Norse culture, ca. 800 to 1100 CE. A gorgeous collection of thirteen cast bronze bells, nine of which have an oval-shaped profile, and four with spherical shapes. The spherical bells have a single slit and small clappers for emitting sound, and the oval-shaped bells have two long slits and larger clappers. Each bell has an integral suspension loop and varying shades of green patina, and the nine oval beads have several rows of linear designs on each flap. Size of largest: 1.125" H (2.9 cm).
