In a Doris Langley Moore Letter: “All were bought by me from a niece of Mrs. Toogood, one of the Queen’s dressers and quite beyond questionâ€. The clothing items are of the Queen’s size during her elder years and conform to her taste. White cambric having back drawstring waist adjustment with white monogram "VR" surmounted by crown over the number "36", the Queen was known to purchase lingerie in large quantities which were numbered, possibly to designate which residence they were intended for, three narrow tucks at the hem. DLM tag. W 45-54, L-26. Excellent.
