In a Doris Langley Moore Letter: “All were bought by me from a niece of Mrs. Toogood, one of the Queen’s dressers and quite beyond questionâ€. The clothing items are of the Queen’s size during her elder years and conform to her taste. Superfine wool with quilted black China silk lining, two inset front pockets, original grebe feather trim removed giving coat an unfinished appearance, single hook & eye closure at neck. Purchased from Doris Langley Moore, July 1965, B-47, L-33. (Few moth holes at back hem, some hanging threads where trim previously attached) good.
